SA coffee franchise launches competition to support conservation

The Wiesenhof Coffee Holdings group has been supporting conservation since May 2017 when they entered into a cause-related marketing agreement with Wilderness Foundation Africa, donating 60c for every cappuccino sold in their Wiesenhof and Dulce franchises throughout South Africa to the Foundation.

Kobus Wiese, founder of Wiesenhof Coffees, was born with a passion to achieve his goals and to transform ambitious dreams to reality. This former South African rugby player is using this passion to create greater awareness of conservation issues and to raise funds in order to support initiatives run by Wilderness Foundation Africa through the #coffeeforacause initiative.

The initiative has been taken a step further with a competition being launched by Wiesenhof Coffee Holdings at their 65 Wiesenhof and Dulce franchises throughout South Africa for the months of August and September. For every 2nd cappuccino purchased per person, customers will be entered into a draw to win a 2 night stay for 2 people at Leeuwenbosch Country House, on the Amakhala Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape. The prize includes flights, meals and game drives on this private game reserve.

The draw will take place on World Rhino Day, 22 September 2018, when winners of the competition will be announced.

“My wife and I started this business because of our passion for coffee and we are excited to be able to support conservation issues through this passion. We would like to encourage our customers to educate themselves on environmental issues that we are facing, to become more active in preserving the environment and to support causes such as this in order to ensure that future generations can enjoy nature as we have been able to”, says Kobus Wiese, CEO of Wiesenhof Coffee Holdings.

Dr Andrew Muir, CEO of Wilderness Foundation Africa recently thanked the Group for their support at a fundraiser hosted by Dulce Walmer Park in Port Elizabeth recently, where he spoke on the 6th Mass Extinction.

“Wiesenhof and Dulce are examples of partners who are committed to the principles of sustainability and to having a lighter ecological footprint on this earth. We as a conservation organization can only continue our work with support of partners such as this, and we are grateful to team at Wiesenhof Coffee Holdings for their continued support.”

We are starting a new Charity!
